The KEF 100SE Special Edition SP 3179AA Channel Loudspeaker made in Kent, England is a High End Audio product featuring 160mm low-mid range driver with 25mm HF mounted coaxial and positioned to maintain phase continuity the crossover region. This is an ideal characteristic for a channel speaker. Once I installed her big Plasma TV there was nowhere practical to place this speaker. This speaker is in excellent condition see photos I can't see any scuffs, scratches or defects and it sounds crystal clear.
I bought this speaker new with the intent of using it in a Home Theater system my wife's home gym. KEF calls this Uni-Q technology. I do not know what the significance of Special Edition is. I made do with the TVs halfway decent sound bar and stored this speaker in media cabinet below her audio components.
This speaker has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and can handle amplifiers 100W-125W at 8 Ohms output or 150W 4. It was never connected until I recently pulled it out, tested it, dusted off and photographed for this listing.
