The Yamaha NS-2000 is a pair of vintage bookshelf speakers that were first introduced in 1982. These speakers are considered a classic in the audiophile community for their exceptional sound quality and design.
The NS-2000 speakers feature a 2-way bass-reflex system. The high-frequency range is handled by a 0.75-inch ferrofluid-cooled dome tweeter, while the low-frequency range is handled by a 5.5-inch cone woofer made of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard). The woofer is surrounded by a heavy-duty rubber magnet and a large voice coil, which allows for efficient power transfer and excellent bass response.
The speakers have a frequency response range of 65 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB), making them capable of producing clear and detailed sound across the entire audible frequency spectrum. They have a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and a maximum power handling capacity of 120 watts, making them suitable for use with a wide range of amplifiers.
The NS-2000 speakers have a sleek and modern design that will look great in any home setting. They come in a glossy black finish and have a compact size that makes them easy to place in a room. The speakers are also lightweight, weighing only 11.6 pounds each, making them easy to move and position.
The NS-2000 speakers come with a set of binding posts that allow for easy connection to amplifiers or receivers using banana plugs, spade lugs, or bare wires. They also come with rubber feet that provide stability and prevent the speakers from sliding on smooth surfaces.
Overall, the Yamaha NS-2000 is a high-performance pair of bookshelf speakers that offer exceptional sound quality and a modern design. They are a great choice for anyone looking for a vintage speaker system that can deliver detailed and clear sound across the entire frequency spectrum.
