No harm to speaker, its only on removable magnetic grill. NOTE: One of the grills has a bent and part edge is broken off as seen in pics. Used in my dedicate light controlled, pet free and smoke home theater. These are the 8 speakers which were largest round drivers available from DT for In-Ceiling.

Barely noticeable when installed in ceiling. I paid $1,400 retail when purchased brand new for all 4 of them. 4 Definitive Technology DI8R 8 In-Ceiling Speakers with magnetic grills. It still clips on speaker nicely and obviously has no effect sound.

All speakers themselves are in amazing condition and sound incredible. I already sprayed removable grills black.
